Set of Silver Bell & Dorje Rings

This set of sterling silver rings were handmade in Dharamsala in India and feature a bell on one ring and a dorje (or vajra) on the other ring. The bell and dorje are the main ritual instruments in Tibetan Buddhism.

The bell symbolizes the feminine principle, the wisdom of emptiness. The vajra respresents the masculine principle, that of compassion and skilful means. The union of these two principles, wisdom and skilful means, is the enlightened mind.

The bell is always held in the left hand and the dorje in the right hand, so these are the corresponding hands to put the rings on. You can also where them both on the same finger, or on a chain around your neck.
