Oxidised Butterlamp with Etching - 11cm

This 'Butterlamp' or candle holder was handcrafted in Nepal from solid copper. It has  an Oxidised finish and is etched with auspicious patterns. A butterlamp is traditionally filled with butter or oil and a handmade wick and used as a light offering on a shrine, most often in conjunction with a set of shrine offering bowls, such as these: Oxidised Offering Bowls with Stand & Etching - 8cm

A simple alternative to butter is a tealight or other type of candle to make your light offering.
