PRAYER WHEELS
A prayer wheel is a cylindrical wheel on a spindle containing hundreds or thousands of mantras printed on paper and wrapped around the spindle. According to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, spinning prayer wheels has much the same meritorious effect as reciting the prayers, and one can repeat the mantra while spinning the wheel in order to calm the mind and to facilitate the development of compassion and wisdom. Prayer wheels are also a beautiful piece of artisan handicraft!
