This 'Butterlamp' or candle holder was handcrafted in Nepal from solid copper and is plated in silver and is engraved with the 8 Auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism.
A butterlamp is traditionally filled with butter and a handmade wick and used as a light offering on a shrine. They can however be used with a tealight or other type of candle and can be used in conjunction with a set of shrine offering bowls.
